Throughout the month I’ve been sharing my zero waste top tips for Plastic Free July. I started by making simple swaps as items throughout the house needed to be replaced. The easiest place for me to start was the bathroom. I bought a shampoo bar and a bamboo toothbrush then started making one swap at a time.
I love meeting and talking to people who are also trying to make zero waste swaps in their homes. It’s great to get inspiration from others and I’m always learning or coming across new products. As I get to meet new business owners at craft fairs and events, I am encouraged by how many others who are also putting sustainability at the forefront of their business.

Part of my beautiful Mother’s Day gift I was excited to try the shampoo bar. I have been using shampoo bars for several years and I’m very fussy! This bar smells divine, lathers really well, cleans my hair and absolutely does not leave it feeling ‘heavy’ as some bars do.
