ECO EMS CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE
I often speak to people who don’t know where to begin when it comes to Christmas shopping. On the run up to the big day you hope you’ll find that present that you know someone will love. But you’re not always that lucky!
This year attending the craft fairs I have met some fantastic local small businesses who are putting together a wonderful range of perfectly curated Christmas presents. With their permission I have created a gift guide to some of Leicestershire’s wonderful artisans.
They are all eco friendly businesses who champion conscious gifting, support sustainability and package each gift in recyclable or reusable packaging. They each have a link to their business pages which you can follow, please also support them by searching on social media and following their pages.
CONSCIOUS COLLECTIVE
The Conscious Collective is an online store offering a curated range of consciously created products designed to enhance, protect, and promote your wellbeing. Born in November 2021 by Sophie who was inspired by not only beautiful products and her own journey with wellness, but also the joy of shopping independently and a slower pace of consumerism. At The Conscious Collective they are proud to support UK based businesses who share their values which include; not testing on animals, using the most natural ingredients where possible and offering packaging that is recyclable or reusable. Stocking a range of natural wax candles, essential oil room mists, hand rolled luxury incense, locally made incense holders and wellbeing gift sets.
The luxury incense bundle complete with your choice of incense holder made locally by Faulty Stone in Leicester and your choice of 2 packs of luxury incense by Sacred Elephant.

AVOCADO HANDMADE
Gerry is also based in Leicestershire; she is a mum to two children and a dog. Running her business from home, in between school runs and dog walks. She’s an ex-teacher who started sewing during maternity leave and decided to set up her business rather than return to the classroom. Gerry creates a collection of reusable items for the home, such as washable make up remover pads and kitchen roll. She loves to develop new products to replace throw away items. Which we love and use at Eco Ems. Gerry hope’s her items help people make small steps towards a less wasteful lifestyle – small steps make a big change!
The bowl covers are washable and reusable and come in 3 different sizes. They are a plastic free alternative to clingfilm. Made from 100% cotton and with an elasticated edge making them easy to use. Do not use in the microwave, wash on a normal cotton wash and air dry.
They will fit a wide range of bowls due to the elastic edge. As a guide:
- Small to fit approx 16cm diameter bowl
- Medium to fit approx 20cm diameter bowl
- Large to fit approx 27cm diameter bowl
